Social responsibility

Each year Aurubis Bulgaria implements a wide range of social projects at the national and regional level by combining its corporate values with its objective of helping people. People should feel that the company working near their homes is socially engaged and working in their interests.

Aurubis Bulgaria’s projects are implemented through social agreements with the Municipalities of Pirdop and Zlatitsa. These agreements are fulfilled on an annual basis and reflect the social policy of the company and the priorities of the respective municipalities.

Each year the company supports the Municipalities of Pirdop and Zlatitsa by implementing social projects aimed at supporting permanently unemployed individuals, disabled people, students and talented children, sports initiatives, etc.  For the past 10 years the company has made donations amounting to over BGN 6 million. In 2011 Aurubis Bulgaria was named Corporate Donor of the Year by the Bulgarian Donors' Forum.

We also implement interesting “green” initiatives, especially for our employees.  Apart from the projects included in the social agreements, Aurubis Bulgaria implements other considerable social projects in cooperation with associations, schools and other organizations that share common ideas about the development of the region.

All applications must be addressed to "Public Affairs and Communication" department of the company in written format. Proposals undergo into a standard assessment procedure and the candidates will be notified about the final decision of Aurubis Bulgaria.
