Aurubis Buffalo Blooms New Support of Hospice & Palliative Care Buffalo

 

Aurubis Buffalo produces more than just metal products.

On March 9, 2023, Aurubis produced a new yearly tradition of supporting a beloved nonprofit local to the Buffalo community.

Hospice & Palliative Care Buffalo was invited into Aurubis’ main plant to conduct a flower sale with 100% of the proceeds contributing to their mission of “providing care, support, advocacy, and education to people in Erie County impacted by serious illness and loss.”

Over 200 employees throughout the plant and office buildings were given the opportunity to buy beautiful bouquets for their loved ones. The money generated from these sales then directly helped the loved ones of others.

In just two hours, employees of Aurubis Buffalo raised $1,200. In addition, senior leadership announced that the company would donate an additional $1,200, creating a grand total of $2,400.

“This is so very generous, and we are so appreciative of your support,” shared Kerri Lehmbeck, special events manager at Hospice and Palliative Care Buffalo.

Employees of Aurubis Buffalo are always looking for ways to support their community. By combining a selfless mentality with a willingness to help others, many charitable initiatives have bore great fruit throughout the years – paving the way for many more.
